Meet the recommended writers April 2022
Our second group of recommended writers are special because they joining the page meant we could begin to build as a community and that the plan we had was working. There may be one less than the last group, but just like them they all have unique stories to tell and are all talented individuals we are proud to have on the page. Check out them and their work!
#7 Kristi Henderson
Poetry writer
Hello, my name is Kristi L. Henderson. I am a first generation college student and currently a sophomore at the University of Missouri- St. Louis. My major is organizational leadership. Writing is one of my passions. Every word is rooted in personal experiences I have had or observed. You will be reading pieces of work made from my heart. I decided to be vulnerable and allow my voice to be heard. Being silent is no longer an option or desire. A few of my hobbies include coloring, reading, writing, and singing. I aspire to be an author of my poems and stories of my life. I am finally taking a chance on my gift by sharing it and ready for the journey ahead.
#8 Amal Clare
Fantasy, sci-fi, and contemporary literature author
Amal Clare is an aspiring YA and NA writer, who loves to use writing to escape life — in healthy doses of course! — while exploring all the things that makes books riveting. There have been writing-blocks, dry spells, lots of screaming, and epiphanies, but through it all, writing is a large part of Amal Clare’s life and she hopes to continue for many, many years. As of now, she is working on All the Words Unsaid, in the very early stages. Her other works include Before We Lit It Up, a contemporary new adult novel and The Rising Phoenix trilogy, a science fiction work. Currently, none of her books are published and available only through Wattpad under @LinguisticsAddict.
#9 Tawni Suchy
Christian Romance Author
Tawni is a Christian woman with a heart for Jesus. She is a wife and mother who uses her free time to craft novels that keep you at the edge of your seat and tug at your heartstrings. She strives to write lovable heroines paired with swoon-worthy heros. She writes Christian Romance, that’s either heart pounding suspense, nail biting thrillers, or heart-melting romance, it all depends on her mood. When she’s not writing, you can find her chasing her littles with her husband, organizing chaos, or with her nose buried in the next great book.
#10 Clive Britton
Thriller Writer
I based my first novel ‘Some are evil’ on a period in my late twenties when my other identity first revealed itself. At the time, I thought it was the alcohol that caused me to stray from the boundaries of normality, and I’m sure it helped by suppressing the anxieties that might have stopped the – somewhat warped adventures from actually playing out.
The thing that did help the spirit inside me to immerge was the shelter from the stage; after all – we are but the actors in somebody else’s play… We have to live up to the identities on the script, but off stage – in a secret wilderness – away from the audience, anything is possible.
My childhood years were troubled… My father died when I was fifteen after a long battle with his demons, and my mother suffered from severe depression, I remember the worry of whether she would still be alive when I got home from school or if she had managed to play out the deed that she yearned for. I spent my early teenage years in a my-own depressed state.
#11 Emma Ugarelli
Psychologist, Educator and Writer
My name is Emma R. Ugarelli, and I am a psychologist, early childhood educator, and writer. I have authored five books in English and three books in Spanish. Since 2019, I have been working on my educational website. I was born and raised in Lima, Peru, where I studied psychology and worked with children and teenagers who had behavioural problems and learning disabilities. In 2002, I immigrated to Canada, where I studied early childhood education and have been working in this field for the past twenty-two years. During this time, I have provided care and learning opportunities to many children and their families. Through my work, I have come to appreciate the importance of early childhood education in shaping the future of our society. I recently closed my Daycare to focus on my educational website and my writing. Because I firmly believe that my writing and educational site can significantly contribute to making the world a better place. Apart from my professional life, I love reading mystery books and going for walks.
